Look Ahead!

If you have had anything like the last two or three weeks I have had, I want to commend you for getting here today.

It has been some really hard-pressed days with situations that were well out of my ability to deal with, and I needed to depend wholly on God.

Getting through each day was hinged on the decision to trust God even when I felt anxious, afraid and perplexed. I had to come to terms with my feelings and not sugar-coat them. I learnt to take them to God. He knows already that we feel frightful. He already knows that we sometimes struggle with doubt when the arrows are aimed at us. He is our God. He does not deal with us as we deserve. He is kind, compassionate and merciful. Above all, He loves us.

As you continue your journey in this unique time, I want to keep on looking ahead. Yes, the situations around you many look the same, may even look as though they are getting more difficult and not in your favour, but look ahead. He who has begun a good work in you will complete it.

Remember that He has promised:

· to bless the work of your hands,

· To never leave you nor forsake you;

· To be with you when you go through the fire and the treacherous waters.

· To make way in the wilderness

· To provide rivers in the desert

· To fight for you and so much more.

Look ahead. Keep your eyes on Him.
